Community Outreach

The Community Outreach Section provides basic crime prevention information to communities throughout the District of Columbia. Members of this section assist in the coordination of the Speaker's Bureau, crime prevention presentations, the MPDC's Ride-Along Program, the McGruff Program, and some special projects, including National Night Out and Project Harvest.

In addition to the services listed above, members of the Community Outreach Section are also responsible for maintaining adequate supplies of current crime prevention material, as well as researching and developing new crime prevention materials.
